James McCune Smith Building

The WCDC 2026 will be hosted by the University of Glasgow, on behalf of the IACD. The conference will take place in the James McCune Smith Learning Hub. The James McCune Smith Building is ideal for our conference, with state of the art AV equipment. It hosts a variety of rooms for presenters, a large theatre seating up to 500 people, as well as a large bright area on the ground floor where catering will be served.

Accessibility Info

The James McCune Smith Learning Hub is fully accessible to all users.

There are disabled toilets on every floor. There is also a fully accessible Changing Places toilet on Level 1.

There is lift access to every floor, including the Level 3 mezzanine area, and ramps providing access between Levels 1 and 2.

Additionally, there are ramps providing wheelchair access to each of the lecture theatres.

Wi-Fi is available across our campus and is free of charge. Eduroam is available for those with access or alternatively our GU Visitor wi-fi is available and only requires you to give a few details before being able to connect.
